For planned hospitalization, the following steps are followed:
The treating doctor recommends hospital admission.
A Pre-Authorization Request Form (RAL) is completed with medical details.
The hospital sends the request electronically to the insurance company or TPA.
The insurer or TPA reviews the case and may consult the treating doctor if required.
Once approved, a cashless authorization letter is issued.
Treatment can then proceed according to the approved coverage.
In case of emergency situations:
Immediate treatment will be provided without delay.
The hospital will send the pre-authorization request to the insurance provider or TPA as soon as possible.
In some cases, a temporary deposit may be required until authorization is received.
Once the insurance approval is granted, the deposit amount will be adjusted or refunded accordingly.
Emergency treatment will never be delayed for insurance approval when the patient’s life or health is at risk.
